The blade's iori-mune, or roof-shaped back, adds structural integrity, while the low-positioned shinogi influences the blade's cross-sectional shape and strength. The nakago is kengyo nakagojiri and mumei (unsigned), indicating a traditional and refined approach to swordmaking.
