Ein verfeinert signierter katana von Ryōkai Shigeyoshi, einem namhaften Meister der Tsukushi Ryōkai-Schule. Die Klinge zeigt eine elegante shinogi-zukuri-Form mit lebhafter Krummung und einem weichen utsuri, das sich uber die ji erhebt - Merkmale des Yamashiro-den-Geschmacks, der von der Rai-Linie geerbt wurde. Sie wird von NBTHK Hozon-Papieren begleitet, die Authentizitat, Erhaltung und kunstlerischen Wert attestieren.
Die Geometrie ist gesund und die Proportionen sind fur ein wurde-volles, klassisches Aussehen gut ausgewogen. Die nakago tragt eine klare Inschrift, und insgesamt bleibt die Klinge in sehr gutem Zustand.
Die koshirae ist neu angefertigt und in abgestimmtem Gold und Schwarz fur eine formale Asthetik fertiggestellt:
- Tsuba: Strahlendes Sonnenscheiben-Blatt mit facherahnlichem Durchbruchrand und kleinem sakura in Relief; reich vergoldet fur einen hellen, zeremoniellen Eindruck.
- Fuchi: Vergoldete fuchi mit erhabenem Landschafts-(Bergrucken-)Motiv, das dem Ton der tsuba entspricht.
- Kashira: Dunkle, Holzmaserung-strukturierte Kappe mit feiner, sauberer Endknoten-Ausbildung.
- Tsuka: Helles Gold-Braun ito uber weissem samegawa; Rauten zeigen gleichmassige, hervorstechende Knoten.
- Menuki: Gold-tonige mon-Designs - eine Chrysantheme, eine Kirschblute und ein abstraktes Wappen - tief auf der tsuka fur Griffigkeit und visuelles Gleichgewicht angebracht.
- Saya: Glanzende schwarze Lackiersaya gepaart mit einem goldenen sageo fur eine harmonische, formale Prasentation.
- Habaki: Vergoldete (kin-kise) habaki und verwendet ungefahr 6-10 g dickes Gold mit innerem Edelmetallwert.
Ein relativ neuer shirasaya ist ebenfalls fur sichere Lagerung enthalten.
Hintergrund des Schwertschmieds
Ryōkai Shigeyoshi ist ein repraesentativer Meister der Tsukushi Ryōkai-Schule, aktiv in der mittleren Muromachi-Periode - besonders in der Chōroku-Ära (1457-1460) - in Bungo (Ōita). Seine Handwerkskunst tragt den verfeinerten Yamashiro-den-Geschmack der Rai-Linie, ausgedruckt in wurde-vollen Formen und geschmackvoller jihada/hamon-Aktivitat. Signierte Beispiele von Shigeyoshi sind selten und bei Sammlern hochgeschatzt.
Schulgeschichte
Die Ryōkai-Linie stammt aus Yamashiro (Kyoto) innerhalb der gefeierten Rai-Gruppe; Ryōkai wird traditionell mit Rai Kuniyuki und seinem jungeren Bruder Rai Kunitoshi verbunden. Inmitten der Nanbokuchō-Unruhen im spaten 14. Jahrhundert verlegten Nachfolger nach Kyūshū und grundeten die Tsukushi Ryōkai. Schmiede dieses Zweigs adoptierten haufig das Zeichen 「能」 (Yoshi) in ihren Kunstlernamen (z.B. 重能, 秀能, 宣能), wobei sie die elegante Yamashiro-den-Asthetik bewahrten und gleichzeitig eine regionale Identitat entwickelten.

Shipping and Return
- Swords are shipped from Tokyo, Japan. We manage all the procedures to export the sword.
- You can't return sword to Japan because procedures are too strict.
- We work with a shipping company that have experience with Nihonto so you don't have to worry.
- Please check the rules of your country before importing the sword. We do not take any responsibility, including (not limited to) refund, due to the above reasons.
- We can NOT cancel an order once, we already applied for the export authorization. As this document is made to customer name.
We have shipped authentic Japanese swords to the USA, UK, Canada, Mexico, Germany, France, Hong Kong, and Australia. If you don’t live in these countries and like to order, please contact us first before purchasing. We normally ship by EMS (Express Mail Service) provided by Japan Post.

Export Procedure (We manage it)
・All our swords are registered in the Agency for Cultural Affairs as artwork and The Board of Education(Cultural properties protection Committee); therefore each sword has the registration card, issued by the Board of Education.
・After receiving the full payment of the items,we return the registration card and get the permission from Ministry of Cultural Affairs to export the swords legally from Japan. It will take about 1 to 3 months for that step.
・After the receiving the permission, we will inform you by email and send the items immediately.
