Dieser beeindruckende Katana stammt aus der entscheidenden Übergangszeit zwischen der späten Muromachi und der frühen Edo-Periode. Mit einer Nagasa von 66,6 cm und einer anmutigen Sori von 1,7 cm zeigt die Klinge die robuste und funktionale Geometrie, die in den letzten Ären großflächiger Samurai-Kriegsführung erforderlich war. Obwohl Mumei (unsigniert), deuten die Stahlqualität und die ausgefeilte Wärmebehandlung auf einen hochqualifizierten Schmied hin, der in der Bizen- oder Mino-Tradition arbeitete.
Der hamon ist ein aktiver gunome-midare mit wellenförmigen Spitzen, die ausgezeichnete technische Kontrolle zeigen. Der jihada (Oberflächenkorn) präsentiert ein gut definiertes itame-Muster, das die dichte, belastbare Schmiedearbeit widerspiegelt, die für Klingen charakteristisch ist, die von der bushi-Klasse beim Übergang zum 17. Jahrhundert praktisch genutzt wurden.
Koshirae-Details
Dieses Schwert ist mit einer hochwertigen Montage ausgestattet, die sowohl Kunstfertigkeit als auch Dauerhaftigkeit betont. Die saya weist eine einzigartige strukturierte Ishime-ji-Oberfläche auf, die einen rutschfesten Griff und eine raue, matte Ästhetik bietet. Der tsuka ist mit traditionellem dunkler Seide ito über echten weißen Rochenlederstoff (samegawa) umwickelt, akzentuiert durch goldfarbene menuki, die florale oder jahreszeitliche Motive darstellen.
Der tsuba ist eine meisterhafte Eisenarbeit im Sukashi-Stil (Durchbrucharbeit), wahrscheinlich eine stilisierte Kranich- oder Raddarstellung, die Langlebigkeit und die Wendung des Schicksals symbolisiert. Die fuchi-kashira sind fein verarbeitet mit goldfarbener nunome-zogan, die traditionelle japanische Landschafts- oder botanische Szenen darstellen, was das Schwert von einer einfachen Waffe zu einer tragbaren Kunstwerk erhebt.
Hintergrund
Klingen aus der späten Muromachi bis frühen Edo-Periode werden oft als Keicho-shinto-Vorläufer bezeichnet. In dieser Zeit ging das chaotische "Zeitalter der Kriegführenden Staaten" (Sengoku Jidai) in die Stabilität des Tokugawa-Shogunats über. Schmiede passten ihre Stile an, um Schwerter zu schaffen, die etwas dicker und haltbarer waren als ihre Vorgänger. Die Zuschreibung zu dieser Ära deutet auf eine Klinge hin, die für einen Samurai geschmiedet wurde, der den Übergang von ständigen Kämpfen zu einem Leben mit disziplinierten administrativen und zeremonischen Pflichten durchlebte.

Shipping and Return
- Swords are shipped from Tokyo, Japan. We manage all the procedures to export the sword.
- You can't return sword to Japan because procedures are too strict.
- We work with a shipping company that have experience with Nihonto so you don't have to worry.
- Please check the rules of your country before importing the sword. We do not take any responsibility, including (not limited to) refund, due to the above reasons.
- We can NOT cancel an order once, we already applied for the export authorization. As this document is made to customer name.
We have shipped authentic Japanese swords to the USA, UK, Canada, Mexico, Germany, France, Hong Kong, and Australia. If you don’t live in these countries and like to order, please contact us first before purchasing. We normally ship by EMS (Express Mail Service) provided by Japan Post.

Export Procedure (We manage it)
・All our swords are registered in the Agency for Cultural Affairs as artwork and The Board of Education(Cultural properties protection Committee); therefore each sword has the registration card, issued by the Board of Education.
・After receiving the full payment of the items,we return the registration card and get the permission from Ministry of Cultural Affairs to export the swords legally from Japan. It will take about 1 to 3 months for that step.
・After the receiving the permission, we will inform you by email and send the items immediately.
