Dieses beeindruckende japanische gendaitō wurde in Shōwa 42 (1967) vom Schwertschmied Yoshimori (善盛) traditionell geschmiedet, der in den Auslaeufer des Mount Kirishima arbeitete. Die Angel ist deutlich signiert und datiert und bestaetigt ihre Authentizitaet als handgeschmiedetes japanisches Schwert.

Die Klinge misst 67,2 cm in nagasa mit einer anmutigen 1,7 cm sori und schaff eine elegante, gut ausgewogene Silhouette. Mit einer starken motohaba von 31,5 mm, die sich sauber zum kissaki verjaengt, faehlt sich die sugata maechtig aber verfeinert an, unterstaetzt durch ein sehr handhabbares Klingengewicht von 758 g.

Auf den Fotografien zeigt sich der hamon als aktiver midare-Stil mit einer hellen und sauberen nioiguchi und zeigt lebendige Undulationen entlang der ha. Die Klingenoberflasche zeigt eine kühne, charakteristische Oberflache, die mit einem ō-hadamono-Eindruck uebereinstimmt, und die Gesamtoberflasche hebt die Aktivitaet des Stahls wunderschoene unter Licht hervor.

Der kissaki ist sauber geformt mit einer knackigen geometrischen Linie, und der Uebergang zur Spitze ist glaatt und gut ausfuehrt, was die Gesamtqualitaet und sorgfaeltige Handwerkskunst des Schwertes unterstaetzt.

Koshirae-Details

Das Schwert ist in einem ausfallenden, gut aufeinander abgestimmten schwarzen koshirae montiert. Die saya ist in schwarzem Lackiert verarbeitet und mit einem hellgefaerbten sageo versehen, das einen eleganten Kontrast erzeugt. Die tsuka ist mit schwarzem ito ueber ausgepraegten weissen samegawa-Knoten gewickelt und schaeff tiefe visuelle Tiefe und einen festen Griff.

Die tsuba ist ein Eisenschutz mit sukashi-Design und gerundeter, sanft gelappter Silhouette. Sie ist mit verfeinerten gold nunome-zōgan Rankenwerk und floralen Motiven (einschliesslich Chrysanthemen-Elementen) dekoriert und verleiht der Montage ein klassisches, hochzertiges Aussehen, ohne dabei uebertrieben zu wirken.

Die fuchi-kashira setzen dieses Thema fort und zeigen geschmackvolle dekorative Arbeiten, die sich natuerlich mit der goldeinliegenden Rankenwerk-Aesthetik der tsuba verbinden. Insgesamt faehlen sich die Beschlaege zusammenhaengend und zeitgerecht an und unterstreichen klassische japanische Eleganz.

Ein sauber gefertigter kupferner habaki vervollstaendigt die Montage in angemessener traditioneller Form.

Gesamteindruck

Ein attraktives und ueberzeugtes Beispiel eines Shōwa-Perioden-gendaitō, der eine lebendige midare hamon, muehsame Stahlcharakter und ein besonders attraktives koshirae mit einem eisernen sukashi tsuba mit goldener nunome-Dekoration kombiniert. Geschmiedet von Yoshimori in der Kirishima-Region ist dies ein staerkes Sammelstueck mit ausgezeichneter Praesenz zur Ausstellung.

Swords are shipped from Tokyo, Japan. We manage all the procedures to export the sword.
You can't return sword to Japan because procedures are too strict.
We work with a shipping company that have experience with Nihonto so you don't have to worry.
Please check the rules of your country before importing the sword. We do not take any responsibility, including (not limited to) refund, due to the above reasons.
We can NOT cancel an order once, we already applied for the export authorization. As this document is made to customer name.

We have shipped authentic Japanese swords to the USA, UK, Canada, Mexico, Germany, France, Hong Kong, and Australia. If you don’t live in these countries and like to order, please contact us first before purchasing. We normally ship by EMS (Express Mail Service) provided by Japan Post.

Export Procedure (We manage it)

・All our swords are registered in the Agency for Cultural Affairs as artwork and The Board of Education(Cultural properties protection Committee); therefore each sword has the registration card, issued by the Board of Education.
・After receiving the full payment of the items,we return the registration card and get the permission from Ministry of Cultural Affairs to export the swords legally from Japan. It will take about 1 to 3 months for that step.
・After the receiving the permission, we will inform you by email and send the items immediately.
