Questo straordinario katana Sue-Bizen proviene dal tardo periodo Muromachi (XV-XVI secolo) ed è stato ufficialmente certificato come Hozon Token dal NBTHK. La lama è una spada Ōsuriage Mumei, il che significa che è stata accorciata dalla sua lunghezza originale, una pratica comune per le spade pronte al combattimento.
La scuola Sue-Bizen, attiva nella famosa regione di fabbricazione di spade di Osafune, Bizen, ha prodotto alcuni dei migliori katana da taglio del Giappone. Questa tradizione include rinomati fabbri come Yoshisada, Katsumitsu, Kiyomitsu, Tadamitsu, e Harumitsu. Queste lame erano molto ricercate durante il turbolento Sengoku Jidai (Periodo degli Stati Guerrieri), note per la loro forza e performance di taglio.
Il katana presenta un classico hada Bizen (struttura della grana dell'acciaio), che combina itame (grana dritta a legno), mokume (motivo a corteccia) e nagare (grana fluida). La presenza di un chiaro utsuri, un effetto di riflessione ombreggiata, aggiunge ulteriore profondità all'aspetto della lama.
L'hamon è un esquisito gunome-chōji midare, che fonde motivi ondeggianti e a forma di chiodo di garofano. La tempra è profondamente basata su nioi con sunagashi (strisce di sabbia) e nie-suji (linee di acciaio indurito), mostrando il trattamento termico magistrale della lama.
Montature e Caratteristiche Speciali
- Habaki: Unico habaki bicolore con parte superiore placcata oro e parte inferiore placcata argento.
- Shirasaya: Guaina di stoccaggio in legno grezzo appena realizzata, di alta qualità.
- Condizione: Lucidato esperienza da un artigiano professionista per esaltare la lavorazione dell'acciaio e l'estetica della lama.

La scuola Sue-Bizen, attiva dalla fine del XV al XVI secolo, è stata una delle tradizioni di fabbricazione di spade più influenti del Giappone. Conosciuta come il "Regno della Spada del Giappone", Bizen ha prodotto un numero senza precedenti di lame utilizzate in battaglia.
Questo katana è un esempio altamente raffinato dell'artigianato Bizen del tardo periodo, caratterizzato da una struttura potente e ampia e da un hamon eccezionalmente bello. Shipping and Return
- Swords are shipped from Tokyo, Japan. We manage all the procedures to export the sword.
- You can't return sword to Japan because procedures are too strict.
- We work with a shipping company that have experience with Nihonto so you don't have to worry.
- Please check the rules of your country before importing the sword. We do not take any responsibility, including (not limited to) refund, due to the above reasons.
- We can NOT cancel an order once, we already applied for the export authorization. As this document is made to customer name.
We have shipped authentic Japanese swords to the USA, UK, Canada, Mexico, Germany, France, Hong Kong, and Australia. If you don’t live in these countries and like to order, please contact us first before purchasing. We normally ship by EMS (Express Mail Service) provided by Japan Post.
If you live in the UK, please contact us BEFORE order.
Export Procedure (We manage it)
・All our swords are registered in the Agency for Cultural Affairs as artwork and The Board of Education(Cultural properties protection Committee); therefore each sword has the registration card, issued by the Board of Education.
・After receiving the full payment of the items,we return the registration card and get the permission from Ministry of Cultural Affairs to export the swords legally from Japan. It will take about 1 to 3 months for that step.
・After the receiving the permission, we will inform you by email and send the items immediately.
