Questo straordinario katana, attribuito alla prestigiosa scuola Takada nella provincia di Bungo (odierna prefettura di Oita), riflette la ricca storia e l'artigianato del tardo periodo Muromachi. La lama è senza firma (mumei) e viene fornita con un certificato NBTHK Hozon Token, che ne attesta l'autenticità e il valore culturale.

Caratteristiche:
Il katana presenta una forma shinogi-zukuri con una curvatura toori-zori, e una ko-kissaki (punta piccola) e iori mune (dorso a forma di tetto). Il nakago (tangs) ha una iriyama gata nakagojiri (estremità arrotondata). L'hamon (linea di temperamento) presenta un gunome midare (motivo ondulato), che mostra la superiorità dell'artigianato e l'appeal estetico della lama.
Contesto Storico:
La scuola Takada, fondata da Takada Tomoyuki durante il periodo Nanbokucho (1334-1338 d.C.), era rinomata per le sue eccezionali tecniche di fabbricazione di spade. Tomoyuki si allenò nella provincia di Bizen per padroneggiare l'arte prima di tornare al villaggio di Takada per stabilire la scuola. Questa tradizione di eccellenza continuò attraverso le generazioni, e durante il periodo Edo, coloro che forgevano spade a Takada erano denominati Taira Takada o Fujiwara Takada.
Durante il periodo Sengoku (XV fino alla fine del XVI secolo), la scuola Takada produsse numerose spade per i samurai di Kyushu. Queste lame erano molto apprezzate, spesso paragonate alle famose spade Mino e Bizen. Il dominio Bungo, sotto il governo di Otomo Yoshishige (anche noto come Sorin), vide una significativa forza militare e politica, con la scuola Takada che forgeva spade per i guerrieri al servizio del clan Otomo.
La posizione strategica di Kyushu negli scambi commerciali con i paesi asiatici ha favorito un ambiente prospero per la fabbricazione di spade. La reputazione della scuola Takada per spade di alta qualità ha garantito una domanda costante dai signori feudali coinvolti nei conflitti regionali.
Condizioni:
La lama mostra segni di età con alcune tracce di ruggine e piccoli graffi. Il koshirae (montature) e il shirasaya (fodero in legno semplice) sono inclusi, anche se potrebbe esserci una certa lassità e usura, come mostrato nelle fotografie. Nota che alcuni accessori, come il mekugi (piolo), potrebbero non essere inclusi.
Questo katana è un pezzo straordinario di storia, che riflette l'abilità e l'eredità della scuola Takada. Non è solo un'arma ma una testimonianza delle ricche tradizioni di fabbricazione di spade del tardo periodo Muromachi e dell'eredità duratura dei samurai.

- Swords are shipped from Tokyo, Japan. We manage all the procedures to export the sword.
- You can't return sword to Japan because procedures are too strict.
- We work with a shipping company that have experience with Nihonto so you don't have to worry.
- Please check the rules of your country before importing the sword. We do not take any responsibility, including (not limited to) refund, due to the above reasons.
- We can NOT cancel an order once, we already applied for the export authorization. As this document is made to customer name.
We have shipped authentic Japanese swords to the USA, UK, Canada, Mexico, Germany, France, Hong Kong, and Australia. If you don’t live in these countries and like to order, please contact us first before purchasing. We normally ship by EMS (Express Mail Service) provided by Japan Post.
If you live in the UK, please contact us BEFORE order.
Export Procedure (We manage it)
・All our swords are registered in the Agency for Cultural Affairs as artwork and The Board of Education(Cultural properties protection Committee); therefore each sword has the registration card, issued by the Board of Education.
・After receiving the full payment of the items,we return the registration card and get the permission from Ministry of Cultural Affairs to export the swords legally from Japan. It will take about 1 to 3 months for that step.
・After the receiving the permission, we will inform you by email and send the items immediately.
