Descrizione:
La lama presenta una firma di Naminohira Sadaku. La ji-hada (trama della superficie della lama) mostra una bellissima masame-hada, che assomiglia a motivi a grana dritta. La trama dell'acciaio (jigane) ha una qualità raffinata, dimostrando una base luminosa ben forgiata.
L'hamon (motivo di tempra) rivela un motivo dritto (suguha) con un'onda poco profonda (notare), che è sottilmente intercalata da piccole irregolarità (ko-midare). Il boshi (linea di tempra nella punta o area del kissaki) appare in modo spazzato (hakikake) con una leggera inversione.
Il nakago (codolo) appare essere lucidato (mune è lucidato), con tre mekugi-ana (fori per i pioli). Lo yasurime (segni di lima sul codolo) sono in un motivo obliquo, noto come sujikai.
La lama sembra essere in una vecchia lucidatura ma è ancora in condizioni apprezzabili per i collezionisti. La spada viene fornita con un fodero bianco (saya), che riporta un'iscrizione, probabilmente riferita alla sua attribuzione all'era Eisho durante il tardo periodo Muromachi.
Contesto storico:
La scuola Naminohira, originaria della provincia di Satsuma, ha una storia che si estende per diversi secoli. Sebbene non sia rinomata come le principali tradizioni di fabbricazione di spade come Bizen o Soshu, gli spadai Naminohira hanno prodotto un numero significativo di spade di qualità, soprattutto durante i periodi Kamakura e Muromachi.
Naminohira Sadaku sarebbe stato uno degli spadai di questa scuola, che ha prodotto lame durante il tumultuoso tardo periodo Muromachi, un'epoca di significativa guerra e sconvolgimento sociale in Giappone. Il periodo è caratterizzato dall'ascesa di potenti daimyo (signori feudali) che in seguito avrebbero preparato il terreno per l'unificazione del Giappone.
Possedere una spada da questa era, soprattutto una in buone condizioni, fornisce un collegamento tangibile a un momento in cui i valori samurai e le abilità marziali avevano un'importanza fondamentale nella società giapponese.

- Swords are shipped from Tokyo, Japan. We manage all the procedures to export the sword.
- You can't return sword to Japan because procedures are too strict.
- We work with a shipping company that have experience with Nihonto so you don't have to worry.
- Please check the rules of your country before importing the sword. We do not take any responsibility, including (not limited to) refund, due to the above reasons.
- We can NOT cancel an order once, we already applied for the export authorization. As this document is made to customer name.
We have shipped authentic Japanese swords to the USA, UK, Canada, Mexico, Germany, France, Hong Kong, and Australia. If you don’t live in these countries and like to order, please contact us first before purchasing. We normally ship by EMS (Express Mail Service) provided by Japan Post.
If you live in the UK, please contact us BEFORE order.
Export Procedure (We manage it)
・All our swords are registered in the Agency for Cultural Affairs as artwork and The Board of Education(Cultural properties protection Committee); therefore each sword has the registration card, issued by the Board of Education.
・After receiving the full payment of the items,we return the registration card and get the permission from Ministry of Cultural Affairs to export the swords legally from Japan. It will take about 1 to 3 months for that step.
・After the receiving the permission, we will inform you by email and send the items immediately.
