La lama presenta Ko-mokume jihada, un fine pattern di acciaio a venatura di legno distribuito uniformemente sulla superficie. L'acciaio mostra anche Utsuri, un effetto di riflessione ombreggiata, che aumenta la profondità visiva della lama.
L'hamon mostra un effetto Yubashiri, con macchie sparse di acciaio temprato lungo il bordo. Inoltre, è possibile osservare Tobi-yaki, dove aree isolate di indurimento creano pattern di tempra irregolari. La struttura complessiva dell'acciaio e il bordo sono descritti come Jiba Saeru, il che significa che sia la venatura che il bordo temprato sono altamente raffinati, affilati e nitidi.
Su il Fabbro di Spade - Kashū Katsuie
Questa lama è attribuita a Kashū Katsuie, un fabbro di spade proveniente da Kashū (Provincia di Kaga moderna, odierna Prefettura di Ishikawa). Il nome "Katsuie" fu portato da più generazioni di fabbri di spade dal mid-Muromachi period fino al primo Edo period (anni 1450-1650). Il più antico Katsuie conosciuto era originariamente dalla Provincia di Mino, una regione famosa per la tradizione di forgiatura di spade Mino-den. Durante il mid-15th secolo, lui e i suoi apprendisti si trasferirono a Kaga Koku, dove fondarono la scuola Darani sotto il patronato di monaci buddhisti.
Dalla seconda generazione in poi, i fabbri di spade Katsuie servirono il clan Maeda, una famiglia feudale prestigiosa, producendo spade per i loro samurai vassalli. Questo katana fu probabilmente forgiato durante il Sengoku Jidai (Periodo dei Stati Belligeranti, 15th-16th secolo), un'era di conflitto intenso quando armi di qualità erano cruciali per la sopravvivenza. - Swords are shipped from Tokyo, Japan. We manage all the procedures to export the sword.
- You can't return sword to Japan because procedures are too strict.
- We work with a shipping company that have experience with Nihonto so you don't have to worry.
- Please check the rules of your country before importing the sword. We do not take any responsibility, including (not limited to) refund, due to the above reasons.
- We can NOT cancel an order once, we already applied for the export authorization. As this document is made to customer name.
We have shipped authentic Japanese swords to the USA, UK, Canada, Mexico, Germany, France, Hong Kong, and Australia. If you don’t live in these countries and like to order, please contact us first before purchasing. We normally ship by EMS (Express Mail Service) provided by Japan Post.
If you live in the UK, please contact us BEFORE order.
Export Procedure (We manage it)
・All our swords are registered in the Agency for Cultural Affairs as artwork and The Board of Education(Cultural properties protection Committee); therefore each sword has the registration card, issued by the Board of Education.
・After receiving the full payment of the items,we return the registration card and get the permission from Ministry of Cultural Affairs to export the swords legally from Japan. It will take about 1 to 3 months for that step.
・After the receiving the permission, we will inform you by email and send the items immediately.
