Questo affascinante Katana risale alla transizione cruciale tra il tardo Muromachi e il primo periodo Edo. Con una nagasa di 66,6 cm e un elegante sori di 1,7 cm, la lama presenta la geometria robusta e funzionale richiesta negli ultimi periodi della guerra samurai su larga scala. Sebbene Mumei (non firmato), la qualità dell'acciaio e il trattamento termico sofisticato indicano uno smith altamente capace che lavorava nella tradizione Bizen o Mino.

L'hamon è un attivo gunome-midare, caratterizzato da picchi ondulanti che mostrano un eccellente controllo tecnico. La jihada (grana di superficie) presenta un motivo itame ben definito, riflettendo la forgiatura densa e resiliente caratteristica delle lame destinate all'uso pratico dalla classe bushi all'inizio del XVII secolo.

Dettagli della Koshirae

Questa spada è equipaggiata con una montatura di alto livello che enfatizza sia l'artigianato che la durabilità. La saya presenta una finitura unica Ishime-ji testurizzata, che fornisce una presa antiscivolo e un'estetica opaca e robusta. La tsuka è avvolta in seta scura tradizionale ito sopra pelle di razza bianca genuina (samegawa), accentuata da menuki con dettagli dorati che raffigurano motivi floreali o stagionali.

La tsuba è un'opera maestra in ferro nello stile Sukashi (traforato), probabilmente raffigurante una gru stilizzata o una ruota, simboleggiando longevità e il mutamento del destino. La fuchi-kashira sono finemente realizzate con nunome-zogan oro, raffigurando scene tradizionali del paesaggio giapponese o botaniche, il che eleva la spada da una semplice arma a un'opera d'arte indossabile.

Contesto Storico

Le lame del periodo Tardo Muromachi - Primo Edo sono spesso indicate come precursori di Keicho-shinto. Durante questo periodo, il caotico "Periodo dei Stati Guerrieri" (Sengoku Jidai) stava cedendo il passo alla stabilità dello Shogunato Tokugawa. Gli smith adattarono i loro stili per creare spade leggermente più spesse e più resistenti rispetto ai loro predecessori. L'attribuzione a questa era suggerisce una lama forgiata per un samurai che ha vissuto la transizione dalla battaglia costante a una vita di doveri amministrativi e cerimoniali disciplinati.

Shipping and Return

  • Swords are shipped from Tokyo, Japan. We manage all the procedures to export the sword.
  • You can't return sword to Japan because procedures are too strict.
  • We work with a shipping company that have experience with Nihonto so you don't have to worry.
  • Please check the rules of your country before importing the sword. We do not take any responsibility, including (not limited to) refund, due to the above reasons.
  • We can NOT cancel an order once, we already applied for the export authorization. As this document is made to customer name.

We have shipped authentic Japanese swords to the USA, UK, Canada, Mexico, Germany, France, Hong Kong, and Australia. If you don’t live in these countries and like to order, please contact us first before purchasing. We normally ship by EMS (Express Mail Service) provided by Japan Post.

Export Procedure (We manage it)

・All our swords are registered in the Agency for Cultural Affairs as artwork and The Board of Education(Cultural properties protection Committee); therefore each sword has the registration card, issued by the Board of Education.
・After receiving the full payment of the items,we return the registration card and get the permission from Ministry of Cultural Affairs to export the swords legally from Japan. It will take about 1 to 3 months for that step.
・After the receiving the permission, we will inform you by email and send the items immediately.
